Putting profits to good use

Writer's picture: Sense 5Sense 5

Our core value here at Sense 5 is to give something back. As well as ensuring each one of our guests enjoy a full, sense stimulating experience we also put our profits into specially selected charities who we believe are making a real difference supporting sensory impaired individuals.

Hosting a blindfolded wine tasting in June, we decided to reach out to Deafblind Scotland and make them aware of project Sense 5. Keen to learn more about the charity and how they support their members, we were delighted be invited along to their headquarters in Kirkintilloch and attend a member session. The session was a yoga class lead by highly qualified yoga teacher and wellbeing expert, Lindsey Porter. After seeing the positive response from each member and hearing from the members first-hand just how these sessions benefit each, we decided immediately - this was a charity we wanted to work with.

After the success of our Sense 5 blindfolded wine tasting...

we were delighted to have raised £200 for Deafblind Scotland. Taken from the event's profits, Managing director, Laura (left) was invited along to hand over the money raised to the charity and again to meet the members this money would be helping directly.

As a project looking to do good...

We like to make sure our money goes to the right place. We were highly impressed by the good work and services that Deafblind Scotland provides for its members and have therefore chosen to dedicate our next two events to them.
